Wayne Arden
Wayne Arden’s career has been spent mostly in the financial technology field. From 2003 – 2009 he was head of sales for NASDAQ OMX’s Market Technology division in the Americas. While at NASDAQ OMX he increased sales to exchanges, Alternative Trading Systems (ATS), and clearinghouses nearly tenfold. Prior to 2003 he worked for several technology firms, with tenures including three years as head of sales and marketing at Kingland Systems, a provider of brokerage and compliance solutions, and fourteen years at IBM. Mr. Arden’s IBM assignments included positions in software and systems engineering, sales, marketing, business development and strategy functions.
Mr. Arden holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA and MS from Columbia University. He served on an FIA (Futures Industry Association) committee for several years and has written about the financial crisis in Wall Street and Technology, November 2009. Since February 2009 he has been an independent consultant in clean technology and financial technology.
John Fox
John Fox has more than 20 years of experience building businesses, having founded five different companies of which two have been in the renewable fuels industry. Most recently, Mr. Fox served as CEO of Innovation Fuels, Inc., a biodiesel refining and distribution company, which he led to a leadership position in the biodiesel refining industry and to more than $15 million in annual sales with 50 employees. Currently, Mr. Fox is running Fox Enterprises, which builds ventures that are sustainable - economically, environmentally, and socially. Companies in the Fox portfolio include Grease Lightning, Tanco Milwaukee, and Fusion Renewables.
Mr. Fox's experience in the renewable industry dates back to 2001, the year he founded Homeland Energy Resources Development, Inc. with two partners and developed a myriad of projects and sales in alternative fuels and renewable energy. The company's clients included American Honda, State of New York, State of Massachusetts, and many other industrial businesses throughout the northeast United States. In 2007, Homeland Energy merged its biofuels division with Hampton Biofuels to create into Innovation Fuels in 2007.
Previously, Mr. Fox has experience in investment banking at iQ Venture Partners; product development at GeoVideo, a Lucent Technologies company; marketing at Wheat First Butcher Singer (now Wachovia Securities); and government relations after working for the White House and a member of the US House of Representatives. Since 1991, Mr. Fox has served as General Partner at Renard Properties, a family-owned real-estate development and management company with properties in the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Fox earned his BA from Syracuse University and MBA from Columbia Business School, and he is currently a member of The American Council on Renewable Energy, National Biodiesel Board, and the Dean's Advisory Council for Syracuse University's LC Smith College of Engineering.
